When consumer-based mini-LED monitors were introduced a few short years ago, they were significantly more expensive than their IPS counterparts. Nowadays, many have come down in price to be much cheaper than OLED monitors and nearly as affordable as IPS.
The latest deal today is the KTC mini LED monitor for $379 USD after applying the Amazon coupon code and then the second 5% coupon code ‘KTCBWPR05’ at checkout. Most IPS monitors of the same size and resolution typically retail in the $250 to $300 range and so the KTC is almost comparable while offering superior image quality and brightness. The monitor includes modern auxiliary features such as FreeSync, 93% DCI-P3 colors, KVM support (or splitscreen between two separate inputs), RGB lighting, 90 W USB-C Power Delivery, HDR1000, and swivel/tilt stand adjustments.
A downside to the KTC worth mentioning is its 8-bit colors compared to 10-bit on professional-level monitors that retail for over twice the price. However, this shouldn’t be a huge concern for the target audience of gamers and amateur graphic artists.
Expect our review on the KTC mini-LED monitor in the coming weeks.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There’s a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I’m not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
