NEW YORK – November 1, 2019 – Bill Higgs, co-founder of Mustang Engineering, Inc., and host of the Culture Code Champions podcast today announced that he is joining ForbesSpeakers, the official business speakers network of Forbes.
During a tumultuous time for the oil and gas industry, Higgs helped build the multibillion-dollar Mustang Engineering business from the ground up. He believes what set his business apart from its peers is the internal culture that he instilled from the first day onward. In an industry where employee turnover hovers around 35%, Higgs manages to create a business with a turnover rate of less than 3%.
“We went from platforms in a hundred feet of water to floating cities in seven-thousand feet of water in eight years. From ten-person teams to teams of hundreds. Change was constant so we developed habits to embrace it,“ Higgs explained.
Higgs’ experiences in Scouting, at West Point, where he was a distinguished graduate, and as an Army Ranger helped shape his leadership skills and are key themes on which he speaks. Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey, a classmate, said the “West Point Class of 1974 produced more senior military officers than almost any class in its 216-year history. Among all of these leaders, Bill Higgs stands out.”
Now retired from Mustang Engineering, Higgs shares his story and leadership strategies through keynotes he delivers across the country.
His presentations include, but are not limited to:
· Creating the Mustanger Culture
· What West Point Can Teach Corporations
· Creating Tangible Wins in the Short and Long Term
