RALEIGH, N.C. — The Food Animal Innovation Summit brings together industry and academic leaders in food animal production. This year’s Summit will focus on sustainable protein production and is offered in conjunction with the NC State Animal Health and Nutrition Consortium Conference. THE SUMMIT IS IN 2 WEEKS! REGISTER NOW!
Registration for the Summit is $350 for all three days and includes the Scoops and Sips reception at the NC State Lake Wheeler Field Lab Forefront Farm. Discounts are available to NC State Faculty/Staff ($150), and Students ($50) as well as producers ($50). Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
The Summit will start at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept 25th with keynote speakers on sustainability and continue into the reception hour at our Lake Wheeler Field Labs, E. Carroll Joyner Beef Educational Unit. Tuesday, Sept 26, starts at 8:30 a.m. with a morning session on OneHealth and the role of food animals followed by lunch and the Animal Health Nutrition Consortium Conference. Day 3 (9/27) offers a unique opportunity for industry, academia, and others with interest in food animal production to discuss the future of the Food Animal Initiative at NC State and meet the new Deans of the College of Ag and College of Vet Med. We’ll start at 8:30 a.m. and end just before lunch. The final agenda is attached to this email.
